Ms. Kekeli Abra Awume is the Head of Human Resources at CEQA Foods and Beverages, where she oversees the recruitment, training, and development of the company’s extensive workforce.
Ms. Awume's journey is unique as one of the company’s earliest team members. She joined in her second year of university after showing interest in the CEO’s dream to start a food business.
She was instrumental during the earliest stages of the business, initially in charge of packaging and counting pizza slices.
As the company expanded to a physical restaurant space, she served as the Front Desk Officer, managing calls and attending to walk-in customers.
She later became the Head of Salespersons, managing a team of about 10 sales staff at the company’s major branch opened at KNUST.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) and completing her National Service, she returned to honour a call to serve as the Human Resource Manager, a role she was well-equipped for given her deep, hands-on understanding of the company's culture and operational needs.
In her current role, Ms. Awume is focused on building a strong HR team to hire and train the most efficient staff to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. She views HR as key to achieving the ultimate goal of becoming a major international brand.
